Caribbean Islands: The Caribbean comprises more than 7000 islands, islets, reefs and cays know as the West Indies. A sub-region of North America with 27 territories including soverign states, overseas departments and dependencies. 

The Caribbean is famous for its tropical beauty, and for being one of the top destinations selected when international tourists book their holiday airline tickets  However it is also recognized worldwide for its rich musical culture. Infectious Caribbean rhythms and melodies have gathered fans worldwide. Ocean Breeze Music Festival is not to be missed! 

 

 

The Caribbean Recording Industry Association(C.R.I.A.) will focus on the development of Caribbean music. 

The tasks that C.R.I.A. will undertake:

1. Dissemination of information relevant to Caribbean music
2. Strengthening of the Caribbean brand worldwide
3. International ventures
4. Promote and preserve the musical heritage of the region
5. Create an international membership based organizaion
6. Host music conferences, radio seminars & trade shows
7. Establish an awards progam
8. Establish the amount of sales needed for an artist to acquire a gold or platinum record within the region
9. Establish chapters throughout the Caribbean and whereever in the world people from the Caribbean region reside or the music has been adopted
10. Provide an international voice and forum
